High Fat, High Carb, Low Energy Dinner Anyone?

OK, I had to work at the spa today. I was all prepared for deadsville with it being father’s day and all. Boy, was I wrong! The place was hopping!

And I knew I had to shift the wet carpets, reposition the fans, spray everything down with Lysol, and hopefully get back to a normal life here soon.

I couldn’t make it up to see my dad since I had to work, and my daughter is at her dad’s, so I decided what the heck, I pulled into McDonalds. Yep, going high fat, high carb tonight.

I guess it’s been a while…

The sign proudly announced recession buster meals for $5. Really? A quarter pounder with cheese, fries, and a coke is a deal at $5?

So, for a family of 4, it’s $20, plus tax?

I don’t know about you, but I can make a kick ass meal for $20 – and you won’t need medications to fix your body after you eat it.

For me it’s kind of a treat once in a blue moon. They still have the best fries, don’t they? But I couldn’t handle feeling this sluggish very often. I have way to much to do.

For tonight, I have no choice but to sleep it off. I just can’t get motivated.

But I did manage to get the free one week sneak peek set up over at Rebel With a Fork  – A lot of you said you wanted to to see inside – so go ahead – peek inside! But I warn you – it’s addicting…

And you’ll find some great dinner ideas that don’t take much time, and won’t break the bank.

Hi Carole, Is there a reason that I can not connect with your Sane Super-Woman Club from your link above.I have also tried to put it in googles and it takes forever to say it is trying to connect but it never does. I would love to go there and I have a membership but I don’t know if it is something on my computer or your site. Thanks. Karen

I admire your honesty! Really great post. The longer I eat healthily, if I backslide into that drive-thru, I feel physically ill and completely regret the trip–sometimes right after the first bite. It’s just not worth it. $20 for 4? I’m making polenta lasagna for about that much. Yum! :)
