Getting Started on a Healthy Plan

Boy, it’s been sort of disconcerting around here lately.
We can hear the sounds of the hunter’s guns. I assume
they are hunting deer, since we have an over-abundance
of them here. And I can’t tell exactly where they are hunting.
Sounds travel across the water.

I don’t care for venison. (is that even how you spell it?)
I was on a great health forum last night where there is
a discussion regarding grass fed beef going on. I know
that is better for you for a multitude of reasons, but I
haven’t gotten around to trying it.

Like you, I find it to be a little expensive for my meager
budget right now. Plus, it takes more effort to order it
and such. But, I think there are some common mis-
conceptions about eating healthy.

A lot of people feel that if they can’t eat home grown,
or organic, or grass fed, or wierd sounding foods that
you can only find at a health food store, that you can’t
be eating healthy.

Now, while it may be true that these foods are better for
you than the mainstream stuff you buy in the grocery
store, it doesn’t mean that you can’t improve your health
by eating a good balance of foods – even from the grocery
store.

5 – 7 servings of fruits and vegetables, even from the
main aisles of the grocery store are better than the
1 or 2, or none- that you are eating now. Even frozen
fruits and vegetables and juices are nutritious as long
as you watch what else they are packaged with. You
certainly don’t want to be drinking ‘juice’ that has
corn syrup listed as one of the main ingredients.

In time, as we grow into better eating habits, we can
move towards better foods. But for now, just get
started.

And take a good multi-vitamin to make up for the
nutrients that might be missed because we’re eating
mainstream instead of organic.

Hey, we gotta take baby steps, right? That’s why I
included a 3 week fast start plan to go with the
e-book – High Energy Eating. A lot of people just don’t
know where to start. And this plan will kick start
your health and your metabolism. You might have
seen some plans in popular magazines. If they spread
out your eating throughout the day, and include an
abundance of fruits and vegetables, as well as a
balance of other foods groups, many of them are
decent plans. Like I said before, just get started.
You can start getting fit and healthy a lot faster
than you think.

Have a healthy day!
