Some advertising should make you wonder
You know all those yournamehere’s weight loss story fake blogs that have sprung up all over to sell acai and total body cleanse? I guess it worked so well that now they have a teeth whitening gimic too.
Same premise – you get the 2 free trials and get the results you dream of. Except if you’re able to do it for free – how are they making any money? No one advertises that heavily to not make any money – let’s be real here.
So I was looking at the before and after pictures of the teeth whitening. It claims it was a week. But I see that the gums have receded, and I don’t think they would recede that much in just one week – unless this stuff is really bad for them.
Just my obervation. I don’t trust anything that’s gone to this type of advertising anyway, so I’m always looking for what’s wrong with it. I mean, who wouldn’t want glaringly white teeth in a week, for free?
I’m assuming you have to sign up for the auto ship – so it’s pretty guaranteed you’re going to pay for at least one shipment. But if it works so great, and it’s free, then why would you need auto ship?
I know, I know, results are not permanent. But would you really need to use this stuff everyday forever? And my common sense meter is wondering if this stuff will turn out to be really bad for your teeth.
Fine – call me a cynic.

Strawberry Oreos
ohhh – have you seen the Strawberry Milkshake Creme Oreos?
I’m an Oreo lover. How about you? Double Creme is the best – well, until now. I love these strawberry cremes. It says they’re a limited edition.
Hey, no one ever said that I never eat junk food…
So what do we need to do to keep these on the market? Buy a lot? Write to them? Call them? I wonder if they have a blog? I’ll have to look. Nope, I don’t see any place to submit comments. They do have a cute site though.
I haven’t liked a lot of the new Oreo products. The Cakesters are awful. So are the chocolate covered Oreos. The white chocolate covered ones were ok.
I do like all of the 100 calorie packs.
But nothing beats the Strawberry Cremes, or Double Stuffs!
If you tried them – let us know what you think…

Ocean Spray Energy Drinks
I love the benefits of cranberry juice. It’s not a high ranking favorite on flavor, but it does so much for you I make it a point to drink some almost every day.
Now I know from the videos contained inside High Energy Eating, that Ocean Spray is one of the biggest offenders when it comes to using high fructose corn syrup. As the President of the company said in the interview, “it makes cheap ingredients taste good.”
So it caught my eye when I saw the new energy drinks saying 50% less sugar. Plus B vitamins and green tea extract. Hmmm. They were on sale, so I bought each of the two flavors.
We opened the raspberry cranberry one first. I expected to taste something really tart, I mean with 50% less sugar, right?
It was sickeningly sweet. I was like, what the heck? My daughter said it tastes like cough syrup.
I went back to the label. In the ingredient list – there it was - Splenda. That icky really sweet chemical tasting stuff. Sigh.
I opened the cranberry one this morning. It’s not as bad. But to me, artificial sweeteners taste bad. And I don’t like the idea of ingesting chemicals any more than I have to.
So far none of the energy drinks have passed the test. You’re better off washing your multi-vitamins down with a glass of real juice. That’s what
we’re going to stick with.
