Stanford Proves High Energy Eating
I was a little nervous when I came across this video. Here we have an esteemed researcher from Stanford. He begins his talk saying that he’s been a vegetarian for 25 years, and has done studies on Soy – and I’m thinking “oh boy”.
It turned out to be very enlightening. And he turned out to be an interesting speaker too, which is great since the video is over an hour long…
Here’s some points from the video that I’ve stated all along -
None of the diets worked all that well. Average weight loss after a year was 30 pounds.
The diets are all very hard to stick with.
Higher grain intake doesn’t work.
You do need water.
You do have to get some sort of exercise, but it doesn’t have to be at the gym.
They talked about how people from a naturally healthy culture would start having health and obesity problems when exposed to a ‘western’ diet, proving that it’s not genetic. I scored again! That’s already in High Energy Eating.
He said that nutritionists sell nutrients, but people buy food. That’s one of the biggest components of High Energy Eating – all of the great food you could be eating and how it helps you.
I’m serious, if you could have seen me watching this, you would have thought I was watching a football game – that’s how excited I got. Not to sounded conceited – but I’m right!
But what made me really joyous is when he admitted that being a vegetarian might not be the answer, and that soy is not the answer they thought it was.
And, he talked about future studies that they are working on – I’ve already covered those topics in High Energy Eating too. Anti-oxidants, sleep, got it covered!
You have no idea how happy I am right now.
But what would make me even happier if if you would apply all of this in your life and get thin, healthy and happy.
If you can carve out the hour and 16 minutes to watch this video – you will learn a ton. And then grab a copy of High Energy Eating and start living it yourself. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
No matter how you choose to do it, get yourself started on a healthier diet. Your life really does depend on it.

Losing my quest to gain weight

So, in my quest to gain a few pounds, we went to UNO’s tonight. A famous Chicago Pizzeria. We ordered the Chicago Classic which is a pan pizza loaded with cheese, sausage, and tomatoes. The crust has a buttery corn bread sort of flavor. My daughter said I should order a beer, but I felt that probably wasn’t a good idea.
We polished off all but one piece. My daughter wimped out. Then we topped it off by sharing Bananas Foster.
My stomach feels stretched to the limit. I have no energy, and can hardly even think. If I would have had a beer, I don’t think I could have stayed awake long enough to drive home.
This is not working.
Usually after we eat I have energy. This stinks. It tasted good going down, but the after effects are no fun. I can’t do this.
I guess body building is the next best option.
How about you? Are you ready to ditch your low energy diet?

You can be too skinny too – follow my lead
OK, I need to gain 10 pounds back. The only problem is – it’s impossible to gain weight when you eat like I do.
Oh, don’t get me wrong – I eat a lot! But it takes a whole lot of fresh foods to add up to the calories I used to take in.
I was thinking about that the other day – What did I do when I was heavier?
I drank pop.
I drank beer.
I ate packaged foods.
I ate fast foods.
I used margarine.
And now, I’ve lost my taste for all of those things. And even if I did eat enough, or drink enough of those things to gain weight (which would be total torture, ick!)– my weight would naturally revert back to it’s normal range once I stopped.
My daughter was talking about wanting to join a gym. She likes to look muscular. I did too. Maybe that’s the answer. Get back to body building. Who ever heard of joining a gym to gain weight? But muscle weighs more than fat, and tone muscles would certainly help me fill out clothes better.
Next question is – how the heck am I going to fit that in? I’ll have to let you know that answer once I figure it out.
What can you learn from my dilemma?
Follow my lead and remove these foods from your diet. Add more fruits and vegetables, and get a little activity in every day – and you too can have this problem. It really is that easy.

Interesting Weight Loss Tip
I was reading an article on Time.com with Jillian – the trainer from “The Biggest Loser”, and that lead me to a link for a photo gallery about what makes us overeat.
I ws flipping through, yeah, yeah, yeah…
But then there was an interesting tip.
We eat more when we’re cold.
I mean, I knew that – but I never really thought much about it. You know what I mean?
But, it’s a natural response. Your body needs more fuel to warm up, so you feel hungry.
Bump the temperature up a degree and you’ll eat less. Save on air conditioning costs this summer, and lose weight.
And then, you’ll be warm and maybe you’ll go swimming and lose even more weight.
This could spiral out of control!
OK, I’m tired. I think I’ll sign off while I’m ahead!
That explains why a couple of national restaurant chains that will remain nameless are always so darned cold you always need a jacket. Except that they carry it to extreme to where you are so cold you don’t want to eat.
Extremes never work. Haven’t we learned that yet?
Healthy Weight Loss that does work

Unconscious Weight Loss

You guys know how frustrated I get when people say they want to lose weight, control their diabetes and blood pressure, feel better, have more energy, and feel great about how they look in the mirror – but they won’t make the simple changes they need to to accomplish those goals.
And it’s not that people don’t like fruits and vegetables. If I serve them, they get eaten. People just don’t want to do it for themselves. They have it in their head that it’s too difficult to cut up fresh fruits and vegetables – and it seems that nothing will shake this belief lose. I get so frustrated!
Well, there is a man who understands. He says it’s usually something else. Something deeper. And he’s found a way to help you finally change those ingrained habits and beliefs that are holding you hostage.
You’ll finally be able to break free and accomplish all those things you say you want to do – lose weight, get healthy, have more energy, look and feel great.
His name is Dr. John Hudome, and he has a video that explains more about how he helps people overcome these common problems. See John talk about the unconscious habits that are holding you back >>>
