Diet & Health
Well, Michael Moore has released yet another controversial movie.
But this time, he points his finger right at YOU.
Oh sure, there’s the usual cast of villians, politicians, big
corporations, coruption, big money, and such - but he also
points out that we allow this all to happen.
He stated in an interview that the best way to beat the
health care system is to take care of yourself. But, people
don’t.
Do you know that we could -
significantly cut diseases like heart disease, clogged arteries,
strokes, heart attacks, cancers, diabetes, arthritis, asthma,
A.D.D., and Alzheimer’s, just by eating right?
What would that do to prescription costs?
Insurance costs?
How much money would you save over your lifetime if you stayed
healthy?
I don’t think he’s done enough to really drive the message home.
Americans are killing themselves with the crap they eat. And
as this crappy diet spreads throughout the world, so do the
diseases that come with it.
It would be so simple to solve these problems if people would only
eat the right foods - and quit with the fake stuff that’s killing
you.
If you don’t know how to eat right - Learn!
If you don’t know how to make healthy meals - Learn!
It will save you tons of money, and it might even save your life.
If you’re a parent and you’ve been raising your kids with poor
eating habits, shame on you! And I really mean that. You should
be ashamed. I mean most of these kids don’t have A.D.D. They
have difficulties brought on by nutrient deficiencies. Correct
their diet and you’ll correct their problem.
Everyone wants to grip about the healthcare system, and rightfully
so. But the real truth is, your health is your responsibility.
Isn’t it time to do something about it? You’ll be a lot happier
when you do - I guarantee it.

Diet & Health Oh my gosh!
My dear friend of 35 years has come to visit - and it’s nothing
I expected. Talk about being blown away.
You see, my friend has been very overweight for most of those
years. And sick because of it. And you know that I nagged and
nagged and nagged and suggested - to no avail. She would not
change the way she ate.
To top it off, the kids had real disciplinary problems.
I was expecting the usual - total chaos, the house a mess,
massive piles of junk food…
You know me, I went out and stocked up on watermelon, pineapple,
broccoli, lettuce, greenbeans, chicken…
Wasn’t I surprised when she said “oh, we love all that stuff.”
I was like - “huh?”
They ate the teriyaki chicken, green beans, and pineapple. The
3 year old asked for salad. She ate that and wanted more. I
about fell over.
And chaos? Nope. None. Totally calm. The kids got tired and went
to sleep. No threatening, tantrums, and all that other stuff.
Oh sure, they had some kid moments - one is 3, and the other is
one - but nothing like it used to be.
What happened?
Turns out that my friend had a series of 13 mini strokes. She
didn’t tell me about that. But it was a wake up call. Since that
time, she’s been steadily able to decrease her meds, including
insulin, by managing her diet. And she’s steadily losing weight.
And they’ve gotten out from in front of the TV and they’re living
life. I hear rumors that she even keeps her house clean now. (she’ll
never read this blog, so I’m safe…I think)
It’s more proof that taking care of your diet can really change your life.
It will help you -
Heal your body,
Prevent disease,
Improve your child’s behavior,
Improve your child’s learning,
Give you all more energy,
Decrease your prescription costs,
Help you think more clearly,
Help you stay cool, calm and collected,
In other words, it will give you your life back.
Don’t wait until a serious illness forces you to make the change.
My friend has been very lucky so far. With all the illnesses
she’s had, she very well could be dead now. And it was that fear
that prompted me to start researching healthy eating. And now I’m
a real pain in the butt, I preach it to everyone.
She claims it’s hereditary. What’s hereditary are your eating habits.
She’s proved it herself, yet still hangs on to old beliefs. If it were
true that it’s hereditary, then there would nothing you could do. But
she’s proved that you can change it.
And this is a great time of year to start the change. There are so
many great healthy foods available now. Plus, you want to look great
and have lots of energy to enjoy this great summer, don’t you?
If you want a ton of information on how to change your diet, what foods
will help you heal, give you more energy, and prevent disease, or how
to eat to lose weight, and tons of recipes to get you started - grab a
copy of “High Energy Eating”
Time for me to hit the sack too! See you soon -

Diet & Health There are a bajillion things that cause cancer that you are exposed to every single day. You eat, drink, breath, or otherwise come in contact with hundreds of things that given the right conditions, can turn into cancer.
The important part of that statement is – given the right conditions.
Take for example a recent headline - HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM IN DRINKING WATER CAUSES CANCER IN LAB ANIMALS
Pretty scary stuff, right?
Calm down. Buried deep within the press release was this sentence –
“The lowest doses given to the animals in the study were ten times higher than what humans could consume from the most highly contaminated water sources identified in California.”
10 times more than a human could consume. Of course they’re going to get sick. So you’d better be careful the next time you are about to drink 80 glasses of the most polluted water in California
Lets take a realistic view of the world of cancer.
Now, I’m no doctor, but it certainly seems to me that there are 2 things happening.
Problem #1-
We are exposed to more pollutants in the air and water. We are exposed to unnatural chemicals in increasing amounts in all of the packaged foods we eat- and more are being found in the natural food too.
Problem #2 –
Your body is weaker and unable to fight off all this bombardment because you are undernourished.
So we have more offense, but your defense is on the injured list. Doesn’t make for a very good game, does it?
Improving your defense has to be your number one priority. You have to do your best to make sure you are getting all of the nutrients you need, get enough sleep, and get a little exercise every day.
You can’t do that sitting on the couch eating fast food. Besides, I can’t find too much that’s more boring than that. Terrible food, and terrible TV. What a life.
On the other hand, healthy eating may seem overwhelming to you. It’s hard to plan 7-9 servings of fruits and vegetables, 6 oz. of free range red meat twice a week, at least 2 servings of fish, and so on. At least, it’s hard in the beginning when you’re used to hot dogs and macaroni and cheese.
I’m horrified at how much I fed my own daughter that meal when she was young. I am so thankful that she did not develop any health problems because of it. Thankfully, I did include enough fruits and vegetables and vitamin supplements. And we don’t eat that stuff anymore. I haven’t had a hot dog in I can’t tell you how long. But if I’m at a barbeque and there’s hot dogs, I will eat one or two. It won’t kill you when the rest of your diet is in order. Your body is strong enough to fight off the incidental ‘slips’.
But when you continually feed your body foreign chemicals and you don’t give it the foods it needs to fight off the effects, and you don’t get at least a little exercise to keep your body strong, and you don’t get the sleep you need for your body to repair, you are creating the right conditions for serious disease.
Just like those lab rats – your body can only take so much.
And you can ask anyone who knows me how upset I get when I see kids who have all sorts of problems that could be solved just by feeding them a balanced diet.
Don’t wait another day. Start turning it around now.
