Getting Bare Minimums

Filed Under: Diet & Health    by: Carole

Hi,

I had a hard time getting the ‘5 a day’ into my daughter
this weekend. She goes through these periods where
she’s just not hungry. grrrr

I know a salad gets me 2 - 3 servings, usually some
combination of dark leaf lettuce, or spinach, broccoli,
carrots, tomato, and/or onion -so we do a salad a lot
of the time. I can get another 1 or 2 in with certain
kinds of juices.

I was thinking about my car and what it might need
before it gets really cold, and I thought - you know,
people take better care of their cars than they do
their bodies. It’s a shame, isn’t it?

Old Hogwash Never Dies

Filed Under: Diet & Health    by: Carole

Hi,

You know, on the Internet - hogwash becomes
immortal. Someone just posted a link to a
stupid document called 101 Reasons Why I’m
a Vegetarian. It was written in 1996.

It’s so ridiculous you may feel like having a
steak, if you make it through the whole thing.
But watch how fast this spreads.

That’s my prediction.

Oh Well, I guess we needed a good controversy
this week :-)
