Do you feel like you’re always chasing your tail? Never able to get everything done?
Would you like to be able to be more organized, be healthier, have more energy, have a clean house, and have more time to enjoy life?
Here are 10 Daily Habits that will help you do just that –
1. Night before –
We’re going to set up a nice, positive, calm start to your day by taking a few minutes the night before. Before you are allowed to go to bed, wash the dishes, wipe the counters, stove and table. Set up the coffee so its ready for you!
Turn off all screens one hour before bed. Use this time to unwind, journal, pray, meditate, read, take a shower… Establish a nightly routine that signals your brain that its time to go to sleep.
(Bonus Tip: Before you get out of the shower, squeegee the walls and shower doors. You’ll cut the time you have to spend cleaning the bathroom to almost nothing.)
3. Get to bed on time
Try your best to get 7 hours of sleep. You’ll have more energy, be more productive, and you won’t be craving as many carbs.
4. Good Morning Sunshine!
Isn’t it awesome to get up to a clean kitchen? Sit down with a cup of coffee and go over your ‘to-do’ list for the day. Make sure to have your dinner plan and take the meat out of the freezer. Check to make sure you have everything else you need in case you have to stop at the store on the way home.
5. Eat more vegetables
We don’t have time to be sick! You need every ounce of energy and stamina you can get, right?
They’re saying that we should be eating 5-9 servings of vegetables a day. Vegetables contain most of the essential nutrients we need to stay healthy, full of energy and looking and feeling great. I know it sounds like a lot, but its really not that hard. See this article to make eating more vegetables easy – (opens in a new window)
6. Drink enough water
Water is essential for keeping all of our organs and our brain hydrated and working their best. It also helps flush toxins out of your body, And keeps your skin looking great. Think of a dried out sponge. It doesn’t work very well until you immerse it in water.
How much water is enough? Take your weight and divide by 2. That is how many ounces you should drink per day.
7. Eat the dinner you planned
I know that sounds stupid, but… Most of us will be inclined to go home and cook if we know we have something thawed – but sometimes…
Remind yourself –
- You’ll be eating healthier when you make it yourself. Your dinner won’t be full of chemicals and sugars.
- You’ll actually have energy after you eat.

8. Take a walk
This is one of the easiest ways to get exercise. I know people who have lost a lot of weight just by walking almost every day. Plus its relaxing and helps you clear your head. You’ll meet more of your neighbors too.
9. Do one house cleaning task
Instead of letting everything pile up, do one thing each night and see how much cleaner your house stays. This is in addition to your nightly kitchen clean.
Now go back to habit #1 and repeat the list daily.
10. Push through resistance
Developing new habits takes repetition until it becomes habit. After a few weeks, you’ll find yourself naturally doing these things without thinking about it. In the meantime you’ll have to push through.
